Full-Time Training - Testimonies

Growing up in a Christian home under parents who fostered my pursuit of the Lord with their own devotion, I prided myself as one who was zealous for Jesus above my peers, always receiving high marks for verse memorization and always being groomed for a life of usefulness to the Lord. I was humbled, however, by my fluctuating spiritual experiences which frustrated my growth in life. Days, weeks, and years were lived in an ever oscillating spiritual/emotional confusion. I repeatedly wondered how I could ever lead a life abiding in the constant presence of the Lord. Complicating my pursuit was a realization of my great lack of the knowledge and thus the vision contained in the Bible. Despite the desire of my hungry spirit, my goals could never be attained due to my weak undisciplined flesh. At this point, I decided that it was entirely worth my while to devote two precious years at the peak of my life to the Lord that He could train me in this way. And thus it was that I came to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) with two primary objectives: 1) to learn to live in my spirit, and 2) to be constituted with the truth in the Bible.

After almost two years, I can verily say that the help I've received in the Training, especially in receiving the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, has caused me to make leaps and bounds towards attaining my goals. It has been what I wanted as well as what I needed. All the scheduled activities, classes, study times, prayer times, team fellowship times, services, living arrangements, etc., have led me into a deeper experience of turning and living in and before the Lord's presence. Practically, this is simply two years of practicing to touch the Lord in my spirit and to contact God by calling, praying, reading the Word, and singing to the Lord. As regards to the truth, the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has unfolded the truth as never before. Light shines without fail every time I read their writings and, although I suspected this before, I never put forth the time, energy and effort to dive into these ministry books in the way of reading, studying and applying them.

These four terms of training have deposited into me a treasury of truths and fresh experiences of the truth that I'll carry for the rest of my life (Matthew 13:52).
